Import:

Contacts, Consultants can be directly imported from MS Outlook, Outlook Express.  If you are using ACT, Goldmine, Maximizer, Netscape, Eudora or any other contact/Email manager, you need to first export contacts from that application into comma separated/delimited format (CSV).  Almost all the applications, including MS Excel allows to export into CSV format.

Import from MS Outlook or Outlook Express

  1. On the File menu, click Import and Export..., which launches the Import/Export Wizard.  Select MS Outlook or Outlook Express depending on which application you are importing from and then click Next Button.
  2. Select Contacts or Consultants depending on what items you are importing and then click Next Button.
  3. Select the desired option in the Duplicates step.  If you do not want duplicates (based on the EMail address), select Do not import duplicate items option. Click Next Button.
  4. Click Finish Button.  Wizard will start analyzing your items to see how they are organized in Outlook (Categories, Groups, Folders).  After analyzing, the wizard will present you Item Categorization window.  Follow the the instructions and then click Finish Button.
  • Note: In some rare instances, particularly if you have MS Exchange, importing may fail.  If that happens, please export the contacts into CSV format from Outlook and then follow the instructions in Import from Other Applications.

Import from Other applications (ACT, Goldmine, Maximizer, Netscape, Eudora)

  1. On the File menu, click Import and Export..., which launches the Import/Export Wizard.
  2. Select Import from Comma Separated File and then click Next Button.
  3. Browse and select the CSV file, which was exported from Other application.
  4. Select Contacts or Consultants depending on what items you are importing.
  5. Select which application created the CSV file and then click Next Button.
  6. Select the desired option in the Duplicates step.  If you do not want duplicates (based on the EMail address), select Do not import duplicate items option. Click Next Button
  7. Select the Category of the importing items from the dropdown OR Enter Category based on your nomenclature. 
  8. Check Hotlist is sent to these contacts if you intend to send hotlist to these contacts.
  9. Check Reqlist is sent to these contacts if you intend to send reqlist to these contacts.  Click Next Button
  10. Click Finish Button to start importing.

Import from CSV file

  1. On the File menu, click Import and Export..., which launches the Import/Export Wizard.
  2. Select Import from Comma Separated File and then click Next Button.
  3. Browse and select the CSV file, which was exported from Other application.
  4. Select Contacts or Consultants depending on what items you are importing.
  5. Select 'Other' in the Import file was created by dropdown and then click Next Button.
  6. Select the desired option in the Duplicates step.  If you do not want duplicates (based on the EMail address), select Do not import duplicate items option. Click Next Button
  7. Select the Category of the importing items from the dropdown OR Enter Category based on your nomenclature. 
  8. Check Hotlist is sent to these contacts if you intend to send hotlist to these contacts.
  9. Check Reqlist is sent to these contacts if you intend to send reqlist to these contacts.  Click Next Button
  10. Click on Advanced Options Button to show the Field Mapping window.  Map the fields by dragging and dropping Fields from Import Fields list into cBizOne Fields list.  After mapping all the desired fields, click on Close Button.
  11. Click Finish Button to start importing.
